plastic surgery consult :) !!!

Referral from my PCP for plastics consult.  My surgeon would not give me one unless I came in again, so I asked my PCP and he had no problem sending a referral without a visit :)  June 11th I have my consult with Dr Jefferies in Traverse City Michigan.  I hope to get his opinion on if my pani is large enough for insurance to cover removal.  I am so excited, this hanging skin is all I can see when I look in the mirror.  It lessens my joy over the weight I have lost

From what I have heard, it helps to take pictures or any rashes or rubs you may get.  I hope it all goes well for you.  Funny, now that I have some muscle under my panni, it seems worse looking than it did when everything was soft.  Can't win for losing.  Still better than being heavy.

Good for you!!!  I would suggest taking pictures if you have any sore spots under your tummy.

I went to a PS a few years ago but I've been thinking about going again.  My sister-in-law goes to a teaching hospital and she said they have more ways to get things approved. I can live with my tummy sagging but I would love to get my legs done.  I have to wear capris all of the time and I there is no way I would ever go out in a normal bathing suit.

Awesome!  I also had a consult with Dr Jefferies when I was getting my 'girls' done.  I had my TT a year earlier with Dr DiNick in Novi. 

Did you need a referral for insurance purposes? 

yes, I needed a referral for medical necessity for insurance.  I will ask Dr's opinion at my consult on if he thinks it will be covered.  They participate with my insurance and know the policy.  The written Abdominoplasy  coverage is confusing to me.
