Need somebody to tell...

I may be volunteering soon for Goodwill teaching resume building classes and conducting mock interviews at high schools in my area. This is great because I've always dreamed of volunteering doing this (I have a masters degree in human resources).

Lol. Of course the minute I'm cleared to do this, I'll have a paying job offer (which I, of course want).

I'm so excited I had to tell someone. No one is around tonight.

Woo Hoo!!!

Congrats!  Volunteering is just as valuable as a paying job.  And can be much more rewarding!

My son called me the other day and said "why is it when you have a job everyone else wants you, when 3 months ago I couldn't get anyone to take me"?  Told him that's the way it it works!

Well, if you end up volunteering, you never know if you will make a contact that will lead to a full-time job. I hope you get a paid gig soon.

That great!  Volunteering always leads to good things in life.

Good luck with this.  It's a great idea.

In NC, volunteering counts just like paid work, you just have to document it.  Good for you.  I also have a Masters in HR although I have never worked as a HR person except in my own company.

I volunteer lots at my horse stuff and local horse stuff.  It takes tons of folks helping when we want to play so I try to pay back the community when I can.  I am volunteering this next weekend at a show.

Good for you Lauren.  I think it is wonderful to volunteer your time to a good cause.  You will certainly meet people who might could help in your job search and you never know when a volunteer job might turn into a paying job!!

That's Fantastic!!!   I love volunteering at my church and even though where I work is a paying job I feel so good helping people.

My DD#2 thinks the same thing happened when she was dating someone.  Every time she started dating guys would start calling her.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
