Good Morning. What do you hoard?
I hoard vitamins and protein powder. I have enough vitamins for about 90 days and enough protein powder for about 2 months.
Do you hoard anything? Maybe it's my age. I used to think old folks hoarded things because they grew up during the Great Depression. Now I think it's a phenomena of aging and the fear of an uncertain financial future that comes with it.
Y'all have a good Monday and a great week.

I hoard 25 calorie hot chocolate. How funny when I think of it, but I guess I do. I can only find it at one store so I always buy it when I am there, even if I have several boxes at home. I could always eat out of my pantry for a couple of weeks. I buy pantry kind of stuff when it is on sale whether I need it or not. I always have an extra can of decaf.
I have come close to running out of protein powder and when Mint cookie was backordered, I did run out. Although we don't have a lot of fancy vitamin or health food places that sell much, there are several GNC so I can get something when I need it. I do buy my multis and calcuim from CVS when they have a sale and usually have several months worth in the shelf.
It finally stopped raining here, at least for now. We had over 4" yesterday. Hopefully I will get the trailer unloaded. I did get most of the thank you notes written yesterday in the rain for the show over the weekend. Muscle pump tonight.

I was raised by a woman who lived through the depression. She hoarded, gardened, farmed, sewed, canned - you name it.
As a child, I always had enough and was well provided for. But being raised in that environment just passed on those values and beliefs. I have all those skills now, and I'm comforted when I do them.
I hoard vitamins and protein powders also. I've also had stuff sitting on back order for weeks (frustrating), so hoarding feels justified.
I also hoard food - meat and frozen veggies mostly. I shop for sales and purchase tons - repackage it for the freezer. Right now, the large freezer is packed and the little freezer in the frig is packed. I just can't eat like I used to, and I can't get my head wrapped around that. I step in for a container of Greek yogurt, and come out with 10 bags of groceries. So I'm not allowed to step into a grocery store any more.
I used to hoard fabric. I quilt, so I built a stash of fabric. There is a fabulous fabric store in South Carolina at prices that I haven't seen in 20 years - love that place.
I could be a wonderful hoarder if DH would let me. He tries to keep me on the straight and narrow but he should see the closet in my office room....I hate throwing things away because I'm so afraid I might need it later. I am much better than I used to be and do try to clean things out on a regular basis.
I always have protein powder. I would probably flip out if I ran out. I always have the K-cups for my coffee maker. I probably hoard clothes. I cleaned out my closet and did not have but 1 or two things to wear after I finished losing weight, but now it is completely full and my dresser is full also. My list could go on and on...
Hope everyone has a great week.

I've moved so many times that I've given up hoarding. For my last move from Philadelphia to Denver, I had to sell everything but my clothes, and a lot of my clothes went to goodwill. So it's become sort of a lifestyle for me, not holding on to anything, living simply.
But reading all these posts makes me nervous about running out of protein powder. Maybe i should look into stocking the shelves for that stuff.

35 pounds of regain!!! 30 lost!!! Just a little more to go.
Geez... I didn't consider myself a vitamin "hoarder' but I'm right there with you! I also have a LOT of protein powder and am making myself use it up before buying more.
My refrigerator and cupboards look like Old Mother Hubbard lives here. I used to have them filled to the brink and no where to put anything, but now I have just the necessities and sometimes not even that. I've moved so much lately that getting rid of stuff is always on the top of my list now. I don't plan on moving from MI, but I have NO storage space so that also keeps me in line.
I cleaned the garage out yesterday and just threw stuff away (from the house remodel) that I had been holding onto. While it's decent stuff I'm tired of looking at it. I don't want to take the time to put it on CL or one of our local FB shopping sites, BTDT and it didn't go anywhere. Then of course AFTER I tossed it, my sister asks if I want to have a garage sale - LOL.

Vitamins definitely, I get mine from CVS when they have their buy one get one free whether I need it or not so I am stocked up for months lol. . .well, except for Vitamin D, I can't keep that in the house because the kids take it too! I never was before but I am now officially a vitamin hoarder

If you seen our unfinished game room you would think I was a big hoarder. Baby furniture, walkers, swings, toys, etc. I don't need any of this stuff because our DD's all have their own things plus most everything is outdated. I have an old TV cabinet that is in really good condition that is taking up a lot of room but it is too nice to throw away and with everyone having big screen TV's who would want it?
I buy my Protein 6 months at a time and still forget to order when I'm on the last jug.

Not a hoarder...esp as many times as I have moved in my life...too expensive to move it. And getting ready for another one.
We will be moving in Sept so I start to eat out the freezer/pantry now...we are also in the "major declutter" phase...the less to move the better.
