My labs were pretty good but I want to increase my iron. My ferritin has been dropping since my iron infusion in 2010. It's not terrible, 76, but after the infusion it was near 300, so I am increasing my iron. My hemoglobin and hematocrit are at the lower end of normal. What is a good iron to take? The stuff I am taking doesn't seem to be doing much.
My other numbers were fine. My protein and albumin have actually gotten a bit higher so that is good. My liver enzymes are still a little increased. I was hoping that now that I am not taking too much Tylenol they would get lower.
Also, does anyone know anything about thyroid? I've never had a problem but my TSH was .45 with the range being .34 to 5.60, so normal but in the lower range. Is that something to be concerned about?

Good for the no change.
Thyroid...concerned yeah...but it's not low enough to be treated YET. Did they just test the T4 or did they also test the T3 (both of mine headed south at the same time so treating one didn't help).
I use proferrin es (from vitalady)! I tried the tender iron from vitalady but could not handle it. Dh uses it and does well. I do great on the proferrin es.

Last week 124
this week 123
Hurray. Even with a bad evening on Friday night and eating out last night, I managed to hold on to 123 which I have seen off and on for 2 weeks now. Still working to get under 120 but darn, it is hard and I am getting ready to be gone this next weekend and then in 2 weeks again.

Very good!
It's hard to maintain even at home...away makes it even harder.

today: 178
I tracked my food for a couple of weeks. I was surprised how many calories I do eat. Add 4 protein shakes to the numbers, and I'm eating around 1600-2000 calories a day. I just cut that in half (rather than do serious DS math). That's 800-1000 calories. I thought I was in starvation mode, but maybe not.
WTG, playing in a new decade!
