Good Morning. Odd shapes and sizes
All I want is a decent pair of pants!!
I must be shaped like a box because I don't fit pants quite right. Anyone else odd shaped? Dang, this is frustrating!

Yup - had that problem my entire life. If it fits me in the hips/butt, it doesn't in the waist. For 2 years I didn't have that problem, then it reappeared... ugh! I feel your pain. I have to try EVERYTHING on now...

I hear you Gina.
I am high waisted and have a flat bottom. Thank goodness I know a seamstress that works out of her home for very reasonable prices to help me out with dress pants. I would never be able to order anything online. Except for stretch pants.
As for the sizing, Makes me Crazy!!! I have pants I wear that range from a size 4 to a size 10. Go figure. I think the petite sizes run smaller.
I love the jeans with the stretch material. Its always a task with multiple pairs to try on at the store.
Another cold day here.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Yeap, odd shape here too...no waist, even at my fittest back in my early Army days...my hips were only 2 inches wider than my waist and most pants are cut so the waist is TWELVE inches smaller than the hips...so to fit my waist, they are baggy in the hips/seat.
Clothing manufacturers use mannequins not real people to design sizes...and think normal is a size 00 or 0 and OVERWEIGHT is a size 8 or above. And they set the mannequins so that the waist is 12 inches smaller than the hips. We are NOT Scarlett O'Hara!

I have no waist. Like Liz said, any pants brand that has a waist is a no go for me unless I so way up in size. Stretch works better and dropped waist are even better. Some dress pants seem to be cut bigger. I guess I am not that picky over fit because I don't get stuff altered, I just don't buy stuff that ends up with baggy butt and legs because of trying to get the waist to fit. I have everything from 4-8 in the closet with no real difference in fit and I have one pair of 8 shorts I just wear here that I can't fasten the button on?

I NEED the stretch but the lower waist...can't stand them. My middle rolls over the top. I'll deal with baggy butt.

I seem to have the opposite problem of most of you. My tummy (I need a panni removal) and hips are still wide but my waist has shrunk. So to fit my hips the pants gap at the waist.
