My new surgery date is the day after mothers day. . 20 days from today I will be laying on a gurny waiting for surgery. :D I can NOT wait. Finally, a new surgeon and a new out look on surgery itself.  My count down has begun. I'm not afraid of surgery because I have had a c section, my tubes tied, AND a partial hysterectomy without incident. I am excited and relieved that I have a new surgeon that I like and trust. The days cant go by quick enough. I am thankful I am moving this weekend that will keep me busy this week and at minimum next week. With packing moving and unpacking I should be good for awhile. I have my pre op appointment thursday as well as my medical clearance appointment thursday I am so glad my struggle with my other doctor is over.

Congrats on your Date!!   It sounds like things are really getting better for you!!

My RNY was much easier than my 3 C-Sections and my Partial Hysterectomy.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Great news. It's hard to think clearly with so much going on, but now is the time to reflect on your journey, how things will be different, what your goals are, and how things will be different. For me, I nearly passed out when I sat in a movie theater seat for the first time.

Have fun with it!

Wow - congratulations!  You followed a very stressful and emotional road to get where you're at now.  This just goes to show that folks need to stand up for themselves and move forward when the first option doesn't work.

I can't wait to follow your journey!

Congratulations on getting your date finally!!!

I agree with Price start doing things now that will help you after your surgery.  Try to walk a little each day to build up to having a good exercise routine.

Can't wait to watch the rest of your journey!

It will be here before you know it...

Adding to what the others said:

Take a before photo.

Take before measurements.

AND save ONE top and pants as you lose weight so you can see where you were.

Oh, and make sure you have a pillow in the car for the ride home from the hospital.
