That IS crazy. I don't know about you, but where my scale sits on the floor can make a difference too. Keep your fluids up - that will wash the rest of it out of you.

I'm confused about what you gained when. In the hospital, you are hooked to an IV and if you are in there for about 24 hour, you can easily gain about 10 pounds of fluid from the IV. In there longer and you can gain more.
But it sounds like you are home? Or something ....

Give yourself some time to heal. If you know your diet's good stay off the scale for at least another week so you don't stress yourself. All the best for a speedy recovery ((hugs)).
