Hi Price! I as going to start this if you hadn't...

It was raining on my trip into work today - and they didn't call for it.  Poured quite hard at times too - saw several motorcycles that looked like they didn't know it was going to either....

I'm in kind of a pissy mood today.  I wasn't until I got to work and the company I work for let us know there are no raises this year and they're changing how they "match" our 401k contributions.  To me this doesn't sound like a good "retention" move... and they're always worried about losing good people.  The no raise doesn't bother me as much as how they're changing their 401k matching contributions.  It really isn't a good thing for the employees.  I know.. I know... glad I have a job, but if my folks want to leave because of it I'm screwed.

B - coffee

S - protein coffee

S - grazing on carrots

L - pork chop and asparagus

D - leftover Chinese I need to get eaten up before the weekend.

Vits: yes

Water:  doing ok.

Jody,

My son works for a very large company that repairs heavy earth moving equipment and they changed their percentage of matching on their retirement fund a couple of years ago.  I think it is almost back to where it was after a couple of years.  Hopefully your company will rethink this move.  One of the main reason I stayed with government was for the health insurance and the retirement benefits.  Compared to other companies, ours is still pretty good.

Linda - I hear ya with the health benefits and retirement.  I've got mine under the USPS, so I'm good there, and I'm glad I don't have to rely on 401K plans for my retirement - BUT... it just torks me some - and I really feel for the younger folks here.

Retirement, benefits, etc aren't what they used to be for sure.  I have 5 yrs with government and I had thought several times about going back just for the benefits but I couldn't stand the politics.  Then we are going through it anyway as the state has terminated the contract for Medicaid for the area authority I work under as of July 1.  We don't know what will happen but they have assured us services will continue.

Menu looks good.

Hi Price,

I missed yesterday.  It was a very long traveling day and didn't get home until after 8pm.  The Friends of the Library group at that library gave all the employees a baggie filled with homemade cookies and a $10 gift certificate to a local restaurant.  DH wanted to know where all the cookies were when I got home...I ate them.  Back on today though.

Car, 100miles, cookies.  Yep, mine would be gone too.

I still need to find somewhere to get carbquick.  I guess I will have to break down and order from a new company because none of the ones I use have it.

Price,

Roz had told me she ordered some from Netrition.com for a lot less than I pay from Amazon.com.  I think I paid $22+ from Amazon last time I ordered it.

I just ordered some from Netrition.com today for a little over $11 for a 3 pound box and $4.95 shipping so it is still a good *****eaper than Amazon.

Of course Netrition doesn't have my Calcium Chews and the protein was higher so I had to do two different orders.

good to know.  I have ordered from them in the past but lately I have been using lucky vitamin instead.  I screwed up my last order so I could use some vanilla protein.  I'll look there.
