2 Weeks Post-Surgery: What Did You Lose 1st Month?

I'm two weeks out of having my gastric sleeve surgery and I am feeling amazing right now. I'm down 15.3 lbs so far, have minimal pain, and am really happy.

For other lightweights, how much did you lose in the 1st month?

Hi there,

Congrats on a smooth recovery. I think weight loss can be a bit surgery type specific, and of course no one is the same. I wish I could remember, maybe 15? Not sure. Be sure to keep up with Gina (Major Mom). She has the sleeve and provides a lot of great info to her sisterhood.

I'm glad you're doing well. : )

I think my weight loss was very similar to yours. We lightweights will lose in proportion to our total excess weight. We don't lose slower than our heavier friends, we just have less to lose, so we don't post the 50 pound loses the first month. 15 - 25 pounds loss the first month is completely awesome for lightweights.

I lost 25 lbs the first month but I had RNY and started a little higher BMI (42)  than most lightweights both of which can make it a bit faster  :)  glad you are feel great!

Drink lots of water! :-) That helped flush the fluids out for me...

I think you are doing great!  My surgery weight was 207, and I only lost 13.8 pounds at the end of my first month.
