Good morning. Up with the chickens

Anybody else keep chicken hours or notice a change in your sleeping patterns post-WLS?  Boy, I do.  I seem to need less sleep than before and get up way earlier too. It's almost like I'm back on my childhood schedule. I'd get up, get dressed and go outside and wait for the newspaper lady to come by.  That was when I was about 4 years old.   lol  Yeah, I'm probably nuts!

Not really... just lately with schedule upsets, hormonal changes, life changes, etc.  I've been having to take melatonin lately to help - some days yes, some days no.... But I have found I tend not to sleep until 9 on my days off - still get up at 7ish.

actually, since working at home, I sleep a little later than I used to.  I am usually up at 7 but used to be up at 5:30-6.  but I never set a clock unless I have to be up really early to go somewhere.  That is nice, sleeping until you are done.

Solid schedule of meetings today.  Then I have to do payroll so it is ready at 8 in the morning for staff.  No ponies today.

Thanks to us both being retired, we seldom use an alarm clock...we just sleep til our body decides it's time to get up. Usually between 7 and 8. If it's winter, I'm very likely to go huddle back under the covers and read or web surf from there. I was never an early bird by inclination however, I did spend years getting up way too early to suit my body.

Only change in our sleeping pattern is due to the absolute imperative need to potty in the morning.

Yep I was up at 6:30 on Saturday for reasons that Liz highlighted.  I was tired though and snoozed on the couch for a lot of the morning.

I like to stay up late and 7:00 am seems to be when my body says wake up no matter how late I stay up.

I don't think losing weight has changed my sleeping habits any but having to get my DGD to the bus in the morning has.  I'm thinking that when school lets out and my work schedule gets moved back a half hour I might get to sleep until 8:00am.

I keep chicken hours, but because of work schedule not because I want to.  LOL  I have to be up at 5:30 to be to work about 7.  Long commute and need to get my boys out of bed before I am out the door.  On the bright side I leave at 4 so miss a lot of traffic.  I sleep in on weekends till between 7-9 usually.

Love my chicken hours .  Actually I'm a little before the chickens - i get up wth the INDIAN chickens ( as in India, Asia ) in the dark here ... I do my most creative work in the morning .

I did this when i was in high school too so I'm not too worried about hormonal changes lol ... enlightenedno   mail
