Motivation
So a few days ago I travelled outside of Denver to Glenwood Springs. My boyfriend, his daughter, and I did lots of great things, some of which I couldn't do at 250lbs.
One of the things we did was swim in the hot spring. Its a small victory that I had the confidence to put on my swimsuit (halter top and swim shorts) at 195 pounds. Some how my boyfriend and I got on the topic of weight. He was going on about his own body and how much he wishes it were thinner. It opened up the opportunity for me to talk about my body. When I probed him about my body and his feelings about it, he said all the right things. But, I know he wishes I was thinner, if not for anything but my health.
Also interesting was that we looked around the pool and found that more than 3/4 of the people over 30 were over weight. Neither of us want to be in their company.
I'm writing all of this to tell you that I have motivation to keep on my journey and I think Scott has found the motivation to start.
