I hope breakfast worked out for you.

It's been a pretty nice day here too, but I slept lots today as I was tired for some reason.  BTW I got away with yesterday's toffees and had a normal night (still got up a couple of times, but that's normal for me even pre-DS, waking up with apnea for so many years made me more prone to getting up when I awoke).

My DH has apnea but he refuses to do anything about it.  He keeps me awake listening for him to start breathing again.

It's been a few days...how are the toffees working out?

Darn - I'm pretty much getting away with having toffees (they still have carbs even if they're SF).

Apnea is serious stuff.  It raises your blood pressure, etc.  Your DH really should get something done!!

He got tested...got a machine... threw it across the floor... and returned it the next day.  I keep begging him to start the process over again because he is getting worse.  They keep close watch on his blood pressure because he has a CDL license and it can only be so high for him to be able to work.

I had my uvula removed and that mostly fixed me - I never tried CPAP.

Hi Roz,

I had a lovely mini vacation with my BF and his daughter. Now back to business.

Saw my doctor and she confirmed that with my meds, I'm going to need to reduce my calories even more. So its down to 900-1000 if I want to lose this weight. I do believe it'll work bc it has before. Just need to keep my labs going strong.

Need some help on ideas to fill my belly on so low calories. I know I'll need to pick up the fixings for salads for one. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME.

B: Protein bar, tea

L: Cheese, protein shake

D: Cheese, protein shake

Snack: nsa fudge pop, tea

I'm normally better than this, but NOTHING is in my fridge. Shopping tomorrow

When I would diet before surgery, the only way I could do it was to fill up with lots of veggies.  We can't eat that much these days but veggies are still low calorie wonders that will help you keep full with the fiber.  Not to dismiss the protein you need but if you are cutting calories, get you protein and fill up with things like green beans, brocalli, cabbage, collards, celery, cukes, etc.  Stay way from the high starch ones.  Also, remember to up your no calorie liquids.  Hot tea, crystal light, SOBE 0.  Those are all pretty filling for me and keep me satisfied for a while.

I don't think it's so much the amount calorie but what makes up the calories. Eat Protein and avoid carbs.  That really is the basic to being successful.

I was at a driving competition today and it was a beautiful day.  However, food options were awful.  so I am not even going to bother adding this up, it is too bad.  Tomorrow is another day.  At least I took my protein but forgot the scoop so no telling how much I really had.

protein coffee
banana bread (I took that for my hostess, it was made with greek yogurt at least)
chicken salad sandwich, chips, cookie
lemon tea protein
pear
taco salad
protein shake  33g
