Good Morning. Feels like Friday

This has been a long week. Lots of fur flying at work. {sigh}  Managed to keep my head down and will live to see another day.  I cannot imagine not being at peak health and mental awareness through all this. Guys, keep your nutrition and vitamins your top priority and most stressful things will be easier to handle.  Don't go through life in mental fog because you decide vitamins are way overrated, they aren't.  Believe me, I know what mental fog and depression can get you and it ain't pretty. Take your vitamins-- B12, iron and keep your protein up.

Anyone else have good advice for helping us obtain and keep our mental clarity?

Get good sleep.  I haven't been sleeping worth a damn ever since my foot surgery.  IDK why either.  Even now Melatonin and Tylenol PM aren't keeping me sleeping anymore and when I do wake up I'm in their hazy fog.

Still trying to figure it out.

Thanks for the reminder Gina!  I did slack off but I'm back to taking them.  I was starting to feel really tired and my hair starting shedding again. 

It feels like Friday to me too!  All 3 of my DD's and 5 out of the 7 DGkids have had it or in the midst of it.  My girls are worn out and keep calling me for reassurance which has led to some sleepless nights for all of us.

DD#1 keeps saying if you and dad are going to get it then get it now so you aren't sick on the cruise.  I never (I know....never say never) get the flu but it is strange that DH hasn't gotten it.

I have having stress at work.  Hope it calms down soon for you Gina.

I do pretty good on my vitamins most of the time.

I think exercise helps with stress and mental clarity.  I always feel better if I will exercise.  Now making myself do it is another story!

I've taken off part of the last two Friday's and have to work all day tomorrow to get things finished up here for my business trip to Savannah Monday.  I can't wait even if it is for work, we usually have a really great time and the training is always excellent.

I took a 4 day weekend over Easter and the time off helps clear the mind for sure,  Until you return and realize how far behind the mini vacation made you !!!

I have been doing better at organization of my vitamins the last few weeks.  It is all about preparation for me, I prep them all on Sunday to be ready for the week to come.

It feels like Sunday here because I was at a clinic yesterday and this morning.  Home now until tomorrow or Sat morning, then gone to a competition.  It is cold and raining and it was pretty miserable packing up in the rain.  Luckily, we had a covered arena to drive in so we were dry while we were driving, just freezing. 

Anyway, keeping the vits up, getting sleep and exercise.  I think those are the keys for me.  The clinician this week talked about the driving exercises we were doing being like physical therapy for our bodies and minds.  A lot of eye, hand coordination needed to have the horse use his body the most efficient way and mental accuity to keep all parts working together.  I think that is one of the big benefits of exercise classes.  They stretch you to do things you would not normally do and that helps your mind and your body.

Glad you made it through the day to fight again.  Work cat fights can drain the marrow from your bones....

 

Exercise works for me.   And eating cleanly.  The less chemicals and junk I eat, the better by mind and body work.
