Hi Roz,

How was the Carbquik roll?  I had to make some more Carbquik Cinnamon rolls tonight because DH ate them all.  He started in on these and has already eaten 4 or 5 of them.  I think I'm going to have to take them to work or hide them!!

That's really funny about DH.  I don't even think I will let my DH try them.  If I tell him they are diet he won't even be curious.

They turned out really good!  I figured out what happened.   The recipe said baking Mix 73.6g (1/3c) and it should have been 2/3 cups.  I'm going to use the 1/3 less fat cream cheese next time.  I was going to make the cinnamon ones tonight but I'm too tired so I'll try again tomorrow.

I have spent the last hour or so trying to figure out what site I use to post my menus on.  My SIL upgraded my computer and I lost all of my favorites.  I looked at pages and pages of suggested websites but I finally found it.   I wish OH wouldn't have taken our favorites away.  I'm going to put it on my Profile page so I don't forget again.

Good Totals Linda!

Well, I felt guilty because I let him have 4 of them right after I made them and then I put them in a baggie and hid them so he wouldn't eat them all last night.  I got up this morning and took me some out and put the bag on the counter and told him he could have some more.  He told me he didn't want any more of them-LOL!!!  I think I hurt his feelings....

What site are you using to log your food?

Thank you for the reminder about empty carbs, but you're a few days too late for me!  I had a bit of a carb binge over the holiday weekend and I'm paying for it this week.  Monday was the worst because I was craving carbs so bad!  Yesterday was still bad, and I gave in and had two Doritos tacos at Taco Bell on my way home from a meeting.  Yuck - had to get up twice during the night with heartburn and ended up sleeping in the recliner.  Today I'm getting back on track with no bad carbs at all; cravings are way down as well, but I know I'm still in the "withdrawal" stage.

The only "bright" side is that a binge for me now is much, much smaller than my binges pre-surgery.

Sigh!  It's all part of the learning process.

Welcome to M&M!!!   Where you have posted WLS and the date would you mind putting what type of surgery you had instead of WLS?

You are so early out that you really shouldn't be having carbs.  If you are hooked during the Honeymoon period it is going to be way worse after you get to goal and go on maintenance.  At this point I would rid my body of ALL carbs for a time being and strictly base my meals on Protein.

I would love for you to start posting your menus so I can see how much protein you are getting in.

Strange, when I post in other places it shows that my surgery is DS.  I usually post in the DS forum, but just discovered the lightweights and realized that I fit in that category.

Yeah, I know I'm a pathetic sucker for carbs!!  In a way this was a good lesson for me because it reminded me of how lousy I feel when I eat carbs.  Yesterday and today I had so much more energy and felt great, as opposed to earlier this week when I just wanted to crash on the couch all day.

I typically get in between 100-120 g of protein a day, and aim for 30-50 in carbs mostly from dairy, protein powder and protein bars.  Some from nuts and the occasional bean.  I'll try to post my menus each day to get your feedback - thanks!!
