I am one week post op and use my vortex blender all of the time. Runs on batteries, so really easy. This is just for non ice based shakes, of course. I got this for $20 at GNC.

I use a regular blender. I had two Magic Bullets and broke them. I have knock-off now and it's not broken but I don't use it much. I also broken an immersion blender and two other regular blenders. My current blender is a Ninja so I'm hoping it will last a while. It sure was expensive!

I have Blender Bottles but I want the ice. I want my shakes to have the consistency of a smoothie.

I prefer a thicker shake, more like a soft serve ice cream texture so I use a Vitamix.  I LOVE it!

I have a magic bullet, and a ninja that sit unused in the cupboard since I got the Vitamix.
