I keep it simple, a blender bottle with wire ball. No electricity required.  : )

Post surgery I got a Magic Bullet which worked great. But, my ex got it in the divorce...lol. Now I use a regular blender. I REALLY hate the grit. And with a blender, I'm crushing the ice to make a nice thick shake.

You'll find what works for you.

I use the Blender bottle with the wire ball most of the time.   I also just use a wire whisk for my protein coffee to mix up the milk and protein powder.  The syntrax nectar pretty much dissolves in the milk.  You just need to get the lumps out.

In the summer time when I am making cold protein drinks w/ ice I use my magic bullet.

Most of my drinks I just mix with a spoon.  But my evening shake is like a milk shake and I am crushing ice.  I have a little Hamilton Beach one that I use for that.

Use 2 wire ball shakers per day during the week.

On the weekends, I use the blender.  I add fruit, a banana, heavy cream, yogurt, etc.  It turns into a thick slurry.

If you are making thick shakes then probably a Magic Bullet or something similar.  If you just using Protein and water then a Shaker bottle with a wire ball is quick and easy.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

I have the shaker cup with metal ball, the Magic Bullet, and the Ninja.  I have to say, that as far as crushing ice, the Ninja wins hands down.  The Magic Bullet always leaves chunks, while I can make snow with the Ninja.  The shaker cup is good for on the go, and you have the bonus of being able to shake it before each sip/drink.  But if I had to only choose one, I would choose the Ninja.  It is pricey, but I got a good deal on QVC.
