Good morning, Price.  We're planning to go to a nice sea food place for a late lunch. I'm going to splurge and have the wedge salad w/crispy oysters. Yum!

HI Roz

For the Decaf protein you just add protein powder?  Unflavored?

Thanks!

Hi, not Roz but Price.  Roz usually does these post but is away this weekend so I am covering for her.

I brew my 5 c coffee maker with decaf.  then I mix about 3/4c warm tap water with 1.5 scoop of protein just with a spoon.  I usually use vanilla but sometimes use chocolate, mint cookie or any of those kinds of flavors.  then I use the protein mix as creamer for the coffee.  I do the same thing with hot chocolate.  You just have to be careful when adding protein to very hot stuff as it will curdle but I have never had it happen when I do it this way.

Thanks!  Yes I have had it curdle and get frustrated so I will try it like this.  I had my surgery last Tuesday 3/19/13 so am just trying to figure everything out.  I haven't used protein powder in the past so I am trying to figure out the best ways to use it.  I have some Vanilla powder from Costco also have some premade drink boxes.  I ordered some of th Unjury powders but like you said it can't be used with ho****er and when I tried the chicken soup powder it curdled and I ended up throwing it out.

Thanks again for the reply!

congrats on your surgery.  Yeah, it takes a while to figure it all out.  the Unjury will work, just don't use as hot a water.  I think it says 130 or something on the package.  I use it in cooked cabbage, etc (further out than you are now) but do it like I do the coffee so it isn't mixed into very hot stuff.  I loved it early out because everything else was so sweet.

Good afternoon Price,

Completely outrageous, I slept until 1:30pm today. I was up late, but haven't slept that late since college. Just a little basketball watching today and then quality time with my guy later. Yesterday I was pulled into a high carb day, need to get back on track today. I did swim yesterday which helped. Funny, I was swimming and looking out the window to see the snow coming down.

B: 2 protein shakes, protein bar, cup of tea

L: Turkey and cheese roll ups

D: Turkey and cheese roll ups (not interested in cooking)

S: 2 fudge pops, 2 protein shakes

Calories: 1400, carbs: 65, protein: 172

Have a great day!

Lauren
