Pre-op weight loss
Normally, almost always, the insurance co won't get involved after they approve you. You can lose some weight between approval and surgery but don't kill yourself trying to.

We had a 4 week diet after insurance approval and they did weigh us but we were already approved. You can check but I sure don't think it will be an issue.

BE very careful...altho MOST will go by the weight you were signing into the surgeon's office, there have been cases where it was denied afterwards based on weight the day OF surgery.
My surgeon normally has a 2 week diet for those under a 50 BMI...he told me NOT to lose anything at all. I was way too close to the cutoff.
Check and RECHECK with your insurance...get it in writing, etc. Just CYA!
