Definition of Lightweight?
We don't get too hung up on the numbers but let's say between 35 and 40-ish BMI or less than 150 pounds to lose. If you like it here, no number questions. : )

My starting BMI was 41. I seem to be losing more slowly than a friend who started at 400+ lbs. He's my son's age and had his surgery 10 yrs ago, so age and the fact he's male may explain it. I am 4 months out with a duododenal switch & have lost 51.5 lbs out of the 120 I need to lose. Struggling right now due to family health crises.

My starting BMI was 39. I was so happy to find this board because it helped me feel better about my slower weight loss when compared to other, heavier WLS patients.
