I'm guessing an Azimuth is a military compus???? I have been making course corrections and then get blown away by the wind. Yesterday my numbers were awesome then a glass of wine and a lemon square blew the scale up a pound. Back on course this morning, drinking my protein coffee and headed to water Zumba. Too darn cold to do much outside. Weekend events have been cancelled due to cold. REALLY ready for spring.

Price,
Sorry you were disappointed in yourself yesterday. Remember though....it was only one lemon square. In the past you might have indulged more. And, you didn't have lemon squares in the days leading up to yesterday, and you won't have one in the days that follow.
Your menu was still awesome!!

RNY 8/27/09 SW: 250 LW: 170 CW: 175 On the right path again!!!
35 pounds of regain!!! 30 lost!!! Just a little more to go.
I was not headed in the right direction - but have since changed course and hopefully will be able to remain on this course. It is going to be a hard weekend. My parents are coming and we have a baby shower tomorrow afternoon. The granddaughters are coming for a spend the night party tonight. I usually buy crackers and junk for them, but purchased fruit instead. I am making cupcakes for my daddy's birthday party tonight with the granddaughters.
I have seen the scales moving in the right direction this week. I am hoping they are that way Sunday morning for the weigh in!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Linda
I keep getting blown off course by Hurricane Carb Monster!
But my general track is in the right direction. I just wander off it time to time.
We went to a preview showing of Olympus Has Fallen. VERY good but almost too real in the plot line given recent news. It actually starts today but the local paper had free passes to the showing last night and dh won two of them...so we went.
Being in a theater reminds me why I prefer watching movies AT HOME. While the large screen helps, no pause button for potty breaks and there was a group behind us who had a BAD case of the giggles.
But the action is very much in the "Die Hard" tradition but the timing reminds me of the Tom Clancy book; Debt of Honor which he published i***** (7 years before 9/11) where a plane crashes into the Capitol Building.
This one talks about the N and S. Koreans and the DMZ...well, it's odd in a way that right now, we are dealing with that in REAL LIFE.

I had my two year follow up with the surgeon today...it was a good appt. I am concerned though as I have gained 6 pounds in the past 6 months...I knew this and cannot get a handle on why the scale is moving up except I know my malabsorption is over....so this means more exercise I guess which is difficult as I am very tired after work. My iron is starting to trend down so I will start supplementing daily...which then means monitoring increased constipation. I wouldnt trade these struggles for my pre surgery life/weight for ANYTHING but do not like the obsessing I am doing about worrying about weight gain. I did walk some this week at work and exercised but not to the degree I was a year ago. I pray I can get back into the groove. Support group was also great this week in that we had a psychologist who spoke about emotional eating and this is an area I am constantly tweaking as well.
Hopefully my compass will keep me striving in a forward moving direction instead of back....
~~Jennifer
Glad you had a good appointment. Not all iron is the same. Try Proferrin ES (heme iron) and Vitalady Tender (carbonyl iron). The heme iron is easiest on the system and I haven't heard of anyone getting constipated from it. Tender iron may take a little testing but it's much more absorbable than the cheap ferrous sulfate (iron salts). Ferrous sulfate is horrible and can make you constipated in a heartbeat.

I got my iron markers up with Tender iron in the afternoons and Proferrin at bedtime. I'm a believer in the combo approach. I took 300mg of Tender and 2 Proferrin ES snapped into 2 pieces. It took about a year to get all the markers up to optimum levels.
