Good Morning. Low carb is working for me
Man! I haven't seen this weight in a long time. {may I happy dance for a minute?} It took a little over a week to get my body to believe I was serious and another week of lower calories along with low carbs before it really kicked in, but it's going well. I'll be 6 years out this summer and the WLS is still ticking. It puts us back on a level playing field with normal people and I can live with that. You guys that are struggling with the carb monster, it's a mind game. You have to plan, prep, practice and then commit to it. At least that's what is working for me. Everyone has a comfort zone and has a gimmick that works for them. Find yours.
Y'all have a great day. Happy Springtime! Highs today in the lower 50s followed by a snow and rain showers tonight. lol

I'm a week behind you but tracking is helping me too. Low carb + keeping track and I am seeing some results. I feel thinner, maybe less bloat. Whatever, I will take it.
I have the vet coming to do pony teeth at 9 then meetings, muscle pump this evening. busy day. Should warm up but it is certainly a mixed bag here too for the next few days.

Hi Gina - I was doing well, was down 3 lbs, then carbs got in the way and back up 1.
Yea, spring doesn't want to make it's arrival here yet. Not surprised but folks here are getting REAL tired of the cold. They're comparing it to last year when it was unbelievably warm, which they really shouldn't do.
Foot checkup at the Dr reported no damage from the twist on Saturday. It is getting better, but now I need to find a shoe that will fit it... that may be an issue...

Today is the first day I put a 'REAL' shoe on. I've had a surgical sandal on the for the past 3 weeks. Decided to try a pair of older, more stretched out tennis shoes and was pleasantly surprised I could get it on. I guess the benefit was having shoe laces I could loosen up, since the swelling is more on the top and bottom of my foot, versus the sides (making my foot wider).
Funny the little things that can make your day - I said to my daughter "look at my feet"!! She laughs at me....

Glad it is working...
I watch carbs but my comfort zone is a wee bit more relaxed than some are happy with mainly cause to cut too far makes it feel like dieting. And I hated it even when it was to control my diabetes.I don't go overboard but I also don't cut way down.
What I am trying to do is make sure I have protein based snacks handy. Like shrimp and yesterday I did BBQ meatballs...so we can just nibble on those when hungry.
Yes, the BBQ has carbs but it keeps me out of the heavy duty ones.
It is COLD here this morning, LOL...cold start to the season.
Happy Spring...today would have been my Mother's 87th birthday...I miss her.
