Bit the Bullet...Sleeve to Ds Conversion
First, congrats on getting fixed. Now back to the early days of rest, walk, sip so you can get well.
Second, I thought from my intro lectures on WLS that sleeves were made of the non-stretchy part of the stomach and that they didn't stretch. Or not like that. Of course they never mentioned problems with the band either. glad I am happy with my RNY and glad you are happy now.

Thanks. IThe sleeve not stretching is what i learned too,and maybe it won't under normal usage. i think it had to do with it protruding through the hernia every night for 8-10 hours. That kind of pressure can stretch anything,I guess. I could see where it was stretched on the leak test. it was up near the top, which would make sense since that was also where the hernia was and where the sleeve was protruding.
I thought about you and Roz and Jodi and how well your bypasses were doing for you and I am glad you have had no problems. Being self pay,I was just too afraid I would be one of the ones who had problems. I just couldn't afford to go there. Not to mention I already had half of the Ds,so it made sense to go for the whole thing.
I am sipping and yannow,it is amazing how quickly one forgets about all that. I kinda floundered around when we first got home like i didn't know what i was doing, lol, like a total newbie. I am getting it together now, slowly but surely.
Congrats - I'm scooching down on the bench for ya. BTW I'd only recommend PB flourless cookies unless you can figure a way of being in a different room from yourself!! :-D
As a fellow 2parter I look forward to hearing how you get on.

I knew you were having trouble losing the extra pounds but I didn't know you were considering another surgery. I'm so glad everything went good and they also got your hernia repaired. I'm looking forward to hearing about this last part of your journey and getting to goal!
