9 Days Post Op Extended TT

I made it out alive!!!  Felt like I'd been hit by a train the first few days.  No one can prepare you for how you're gonna feel, that's for sure.  Feeling good enough today to put a little blush on, because I look pale as a ghost.  The doctor said he removed 4 1/2 lbs. of tissue, which actually is more than I thought.  I'm anxious for the drains to come out Monday and see how I look without the binder.  Can't wait to get rid of the binder, it feels like it's so difficult to breath with it on.  I know it's necessary but I hate it!

Down the road I will post some pictures.  I'm feeling LUCKY to be alive today Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Cograts, all the best for super speedy healing of the incision. I would consider a TT if I could have it done laparoscopically, he he!! ;)

Glad you're feeling better - and you're exactly right!  No one can prepare you for how you're going to feel.  The drains did a number on me, but I LOVED my binder - I just felt secure in it.

Don't be in too big of a hurry to get rid of it - it is holding your skin to your muscle to make sure it heals properly and in the right place!  If it's too tight, maybe get a little bit bigger one.  You need to be comfortable.  I was able to take my binder off to shower - have you taken it off at all yet?

Jody, yes I've had it off twice for a shower. Everytime I eat, ie. A third of a yogurt I feel like It's so tight I can't eat. I see the doctor Monday morning, hoping to get the drains out. I plan on talking to him about the binder and trying to eat. Are you pleased with your results? This better look darn good after all you have to go through.

I felt like that too - early after surgery - had a LOT of restriction, which I enjoyed!

Ecstatic with my results and so glad I did it.  Give yourself time to heal.  You'll be happy with the results too!  I even bought 2 bikinis in the last year...  NEVER thought I'd do that!!
