Good Morning. Looking in the mirror...who do you see?

I've been low carbing and losing inches, if not weight. So I packed a pair of pants to wear for my business trip I thought were small enough but not uncomfortable in any way. Well, I'm hiking these things up in front of the mirror and I see my mother!  OMG!

What revelations have you had in front of the mirror?

Y'all have a great Thursday!

Glancing at a mirror as I walk past and sometimes I see my father.  I guess my features are more like his than mothers.  He always said a good bull marks his calfs.

Ya, know in the beginning we still saw the fat person in the mirror.  I see the thin person now, but I can also see the tummy bulge that wasn't there at 111 and is there now at 124.

Still working to get under 120.

Well, with clothes on my mirror tells me I am getting towards normal.

Without clothes my mirror cringes and tells me to to RUN to a plastic surgeon lol

Viewing my before pictures helps me get my head in the reality of my weight loss.

Good post.

I see my mother in the mirror...always thought I looked like my daddy! And I did with weight on but now I look like her.

I'm with Candy tho, without clothes, all I see is the shar pei skin...and seriously think a visit to a plastic surgeon is in order. Just not gonna happen so I am TRYING to get use to it. They say "clothes make the man (woman)" but clothes also hide some sins...like wrinkles in the stomach/butt/etc!

Good morning Gina.

When I look into the mirror, I see a loss of another half of a pound. I also see my longer hair and reflect on how recently is was so short.

That's funny Gina. Congrats on packing pants that are too big!!!!!!!!  Even us "oldies" have WOWs!!!!!!

Only on this site can we all talk about our extra skin, pudgy bellies, and plastic surgeons and not get laughed at or ridiculed.

I guess I look more like my Mom.  She is always comparing our wrinkly hands which is a little upsetting to me since she is 80 and I'm 59.  I'm hoping she thinks hers look more like mine that mine looking like hers....lol.

I KNOW I need to see a PS but I must be getting use to it because I don't think about it as often any more.  A couple of nights ago DH grabbed me....hehe....and said boy you are bony.  He grabbed me right in my hip bone area and of course I got negative by saying that's because everything is sliding down instead of taking it as a compliment.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

I used to see my Mom...65 pounds ago I was built just like her.  People always comment on how they KNOW we are mother and daughter because we look just alike in face and body type.

Well just last night I was contemplating my 2 month surgiversary (today BTW) and how much my body has changed with the loss of those 65 lbs.  I don't know who I look like...but what I am seeing is getting ever so closer to the person I was.  And I am LOVING what I see...baggy skin and all.

Got my hair trimmed today...added bangs, now I REALLY see my Mother in the mirror! But I am trying to grow it back a wee bit longer (down to just above my shoulders) and the process is gonna take some time.
