Well, I ended up combing through a clearance rack yesterday after work because my work pants are getting too big, I tried on 2 different brands of size 10, they were too big.  But, I still need to replace my size 12's before I walk out of them at work. So, to the thrift store I will go this weekend.

Good for you!

I'm in the same boat right now.  My pants are being kept up with belts right now until I get my first paycheck in a couple of weeks and can get some new ones.

Enjoy the thrift store this weekend!

I had the same problem last week. I skipped right over size 10 and 8 and went to a 6. It took my pants falling off practically to make me go shopping last week. It's a great feeling! Congrats!

i don't remember which one, but I remember skipping some size along the way.  but different brands can be very different.  I have everything from 4s to 8s that fit now, depending on the brand.  Dress pants are also cut differently and I can usually wear smaller dress pants than jeans but not always.  but the thrift store is a great place to shop.  I haven't bought clothes from a real store in ages.  I just get sticker shock big time looking at real prices unless they are way marked down.

Can you ever remember a time when you may have thought...no way I will ever fit into a size 10?   I think it's great...keep up the good work.

I can't wait! So much to look forward to, but buying itty-bitty clothes is at the top of my list :)

Wow, I must be a really large frame.  I am pretty much at my goal, only a couple of pounds of bounce back at 165 instead of 160 - I am 5'6" and I wear a size 14 or 16 in pants - sometimes I still go to the Avenue and get there size 14 in skinny jeans which are womans sizes and that kills me but I like the skinny jeans they have and the waist fits really well on theres.  In tops, I wear either a large and sometimes an extra large. It seems like such a big size for me being I am at my goal.  The only thing that seems to getting in my way is the extra skin in my belly and lower abdomen.

2 years ago, when I litterly on my deathbed, I lost 45 pounds in 3 months going from 170 to 125 = sounds like I got to a perfect weight - yeah - 5'6 and 125 = No, way!!! I was so sickly looking - people would open doors for me, offer to carry my packages.  I was at dinner at a catering place and people I didnt even knew were offering to carry my plate - they thought I looked like I was a cancer patient - I had lost so much hair, I was immaciated - all skin and bones.  I had to have tube feedings to try to gain weight and I had to eat high calorie foods all day long to try to gain weight and nothing worked.  In a period of 1 year and eating like a teenage boy - I think I gained 8 or 10 pounds.  I never thought it would be so hard to gain weight.  It finally took me 2 1/2 years  to get back to 160-170. Now I am trying to stay stable.

The weirdest part of my sizing is before I got real sick in 2010 which was my 2 year anniversary is I was a size 12 pants and a large top - I weighed 160 pounds.  Then my 2 years of hell happened and like I wrote a little bit above = went down to a size 8 or 10 bottoms and medium top. 8 for a very short period of time (big mistake was buying new clothes at that size) So, now that I gained weight back to 160, you would think I could wear the clothes that I did when I was 160 before = NO WAY.  I cant get my butt into the size 12 and I have a tiny butt too.

I dont understand how everyone I see are wearing sizes so much smaller than I am.
