OT - Daughter Update
Sorry, I have not updated everyone. My daughter is doing better. They did the surgery yesterday and the abscess was so large that they had to put her all the way asleep and do it in the OR. They have it packed and will have to be unpacked, cleaned and repacked everyday for at least a week. She is suppose to come home today on a very strong antibiotic. He is pretty sure he got all the infection out. She is going to come and stay at our house until Friday since her dad is retired and can be there with her during the day - this could be a bad thing also-LOL!!
Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and swinging of your critters!! I really do appreciate it.
My poor little DGD#2 is so ready to see her mommy!! She keeps saying "Grandma I'm ready to go home now."
I am so far behind in everything at home and work.
If you have a place that comes up and gets red, swollen and painful - go to the ER and let them check it out - don't wait!! The surgeon said this is very common now. This infection can get into any bite, nick or any open place on your body and it is very quick to grow.
Thanks again to everyone. Hope I can catch up on all the post one night this week.
Linda
I'm so happy that she is doing better and on the mend. Hope it goes fast for you all. It can be so hard when you throw kids out of their element.
I can second your advise on the red swollen painful areas. My grandson earlier this year had a spot on his leg that he had told his dadit hurt well he never bothered to show his father the spot. A couple more days went by and he mention it again and pulled his pants down, off to the doctor they went and sure enough it was MRSA infection. Seems to be a lot of it now a days.
Have a great day all.
