Good Morning. Update from a LW on Staten Island
I sent a short message this morning to one of LWs who lives on Staten Island, NY and this is the message I got back..
"I'm ok. We just got power.. I'm working a lot. We were the only animal hospital with power.. So we have lots of animals of people who lost everything.. It's been such an emotional and draining week. My heart breaks for so many of them.. Xoxo"
I sent her a message back asking if there are any charities she trusts to give them and the animal hospital support...waiting for a response back and I'll let you guys know what she says. In the mean time please consider donating to the Red Cross and local animal shelters and animal hospitals of the areas you know have been hit hard by the storm.
Thanks,

Pass on our prayers, Gina...
I found this article as to how to help:
Liz
Duodenal Switch (Lap) 01-24-11 | Surgeon: Stephen Boyce | High weight: 250 in 2002 | Surgery weight: 203 | Lowest weight: 121 | Current weight: 135 | Goal weight: 135
Thanks Gina for the update.
I am glad they finally have power. I just cant imagine what those poor people are doing that have lost everything and now the weather is getting so cold.
Will continue to keep in my prayers. Thank goodness for the Red cross and other charities that are trying to bring in fresh water, food and shelter.
Gina said she was putting in all kinds of hours at the animal hospital where she works. Apparently it was about the only one that was able to stay open and they have a lot of animals to care for. She was finally getting some time off today.
