Two NSV's Two months post-op
I've made the decision to focus on more than merely the scale, and for the most part, I am weighing in only twice per month...
NSV #1: This past weekend, we moved into our new house. I am married with 4 children, so that's a lot of stuff to pack/unpack (for six people!). We hired movers, but for the first time years, I was able to keep up with my husband's energy level in working to get our house straightened out/unpacked....We were back and forth to Home Depot/Lowe's for minor repairs/installations, and I was able to keep up with him the entire weekend. I even had more energy than he did on Sunday. He was napping on the couch, and I was still a busy bee. This is a minor victory for some, but there is no way eight weeks ago, prior to surgery, that I could have kept up this past weekend. I would have been laying around fatigued, and would have been no help to my DH.
NSV #2: Pre-op, I wore a size 20/22....Today, I was getting dressed for work and decided to try on a pair of Size 14 dress slacks, and guess what? They fit!!! They are just a tad snug, but they look good enough to wear today.
Hooray for NSV's :)
Thanks for listening,
Rainy
