Good Morning. Sitting ducks
Hmm...maybe she's considered essential personnel because they're closed for everyone else. Glad she stayed home. Maryland and the track a little north and west are going to get it.

I'm here in Washington (the state) knowing we're just fine but expecting to see you east coasters go offline. That is when I'll start worrying so PLEASE come back as soon as you get power and let us know you're OK.
Sending prayers.....
Thank you. I hope the phone towers stay operational. At least I should be able to communicate until I run my battery down.

Hi,
Hope everyone stays safe! I'm on the coast of Maine its pretty windy here but not much of anything else yet. We won't get hit like the southern states and cities but my generator is ready. Power outages are not so rare around here. Take care I'll be thinking of you all.

LoL. . .sitting ducks, how appropriate! I feel like a duck about now, it's all wet and cold and windy here in Delaware.
Lots of the state (lower end) is already flooded and we have had a driving ban on since last night. My second job closed down but my primary job is still up and running (a hospital) so I am at home working. Thankfully, I telecommute now so I don't have that hour and a half commute back and forth because they will be closing the Delaware Memorial Bridge soon and if I went in to the hospital, I wouldn't be allowed to leave. I would hate to be away from my parents and kids once this storm really hits!!!!
We have all of the essentials and supplies and are as ready as we can be. Just waiting to see what Sandy throws at us.
Of course I just HAD to build my house on the Christina River 3 years ago. . . .thinking now that wasn't such a bright idea . . . . .we were okay with Irene, but Sandy is supposed to double what Irene hit us with so we are prepared for the worst and hoping for the best! Me and the kids are at the apartment with mom and dad and the ex is in the house so at least I will get updates on what's going on! Of course, we have NO flood insurance; it wasn't required because the flood plane runs behind where we built the house, it runs about 3 foot off the back corner and we raised the house/foundation by 4 feet when we built it so again, hoping for the best!!!!
Hoping everyone stays safe and sound!

Thank you, I will keep you updated as things progress assuming I still have Internet and/or cell service!
Just got this update: "The newest track puts Sandy's predicted landfall between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Monday somewhere between Rehoboth, Delaware and Cape May, New Jersey." -- 6ABC news
That is NOT good for us! That is 4 hours early!!!! They were saying she wasn't going to hit until midnight here. Apparently she has also picked up speed and wind strength too. . . .I was sooooooooooooooo hoping the witch would go to the right instead of making that left turn!!!!!
Rehobeth is less than 80 miles from us and the storm is affecting areas 175 miles out and its total width they said is now 1,000 miles!!!!!!!!!! That alone is just unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!
The Jersey and Delaware shores are already having 25+ foot waves and are getting totally hammered and she is still about 185 miles off the coast line. I cannot even fathom the damage this storm is going to do! I know us "inlanders" weren't expecting to get hit so hard and she isn't even here yet!!!!!
Praying for everyone in Sandy's path to be safe!!!!!
