Storm Updates....Please!

I just took my lunch time to go to Walmart and get a few things.  NOT A SINGLE FLASHLIGHT, LANTERN, OR  D BATTERIES!!   I ended up buying Battery Operated Christmas candles....LOL and a few scent free candles to burn.

Our electric ALWAYS goes out in a storm. 

we are usually lucky with the electric, I am thinking we wont be so lucky this time around. With Irene we lost power for just a little bit maybe an hour but alot of ppl around us lost it for more then a day, right now a few ppl in our area have been out since this morning, and my sister has been without since 1:30. We still have it thank goodness.

We have rain and high winds although, strangely, the winds calmed down for now,,,thats a bit scary.

Cecely (abc news) said it will be making landfall within the next hour.

Hang on, we will get through this.

I am plugged into the wall while I am on laptop as we speak, and I have back up batteries for my phone and my phone is still plugged in. I have a mobile hotspot on my phone so I can get online even if I lose power, for a little while anyway. I can charge my phn battery in the car.

Keep posting, letting us know everyone is still ok.

Good plans, Barbi. I'd forgotten I have the hot spot too. Also, I'm making extra coffee tonight and putting some in my big Thermos and some in the fridge. Got to have my protein coffees in the AMs even if it's iced coffee.

Winds are really picking up. DD is upset because her Dad is refusing to go to their house for the night. He told me to go but I won't go without him.  Hopefully it calms down enough we can get some sleep.
