Good Morning. Why can't I crave less carbs?

It's an insidious attack, I tell you!  It's that old feast or famine thing permanently embedded in our DNA. Arrrgggh!    We are the survivors of the ancient world. We are living proof Darwin was right.

Ok, end of rant. Y'all have a great Thursday!

Sugar, salt are my weakness.  I can resist almost anything else.

Training today then farm work help coming.  Busy day.

I do okay for awhile but it still gets me...

We are built to survive the "famine", esp women....that's why it's harder to lose weight then men and harder to keep it off. Genetics built into our DNA is just wicked!

12 more days and this will all be over...we have another week of early election and then election day. Not sure my body likes me right now.

If I see it, I want it. I have a nice pair of blinders tht are apparently invisible to everyone else. What really saves me is knowing that I have to put it into Myfitnesspal and also having to get on the scale at WW every week. Carbs, even limited, always put at least a pound on me!

Have a fun Thursday everyone!

The free-for-all table at work is a killer.  Bags of chips, candy bars..it is so hard when you are working 12 hours and its right in front of you when you are trying to do charting.

that would do me in.  Salt and sugar (add in some fat) and I would be back at 200lbs.

Salt and sugar are my weakness too! I have to stay away or I eat it. If I can't see it or don't have it the house im fine. Once it's there though my brain goes crazy, until I gorge myself.  I am reading a great book on how food industries make the perfect amount of fat, salt, and sugar that makes our brains addicted to the food . One chapter says when we hear about a trigger food that we actually start producing dopamine that drives us till we eat it, that's all our brain will think about until we feed the addiction. Like a junky, or alcoholic. I always said my eating was like an alcoholic. Can't have just one beer ? Well I can't have just one chip, or one snickers. I must try abstenance or I fall off the wagon. Okay enough rant from me too.

The book is "The end of overeating"

I don't understand it either but carbs have always been my downfall.  The big difference now is I don't sneak and eat them and because of my tool and dumping I can only have a few bites at a time.  If it's out of sight I don't go searching for it so rarely will you find carbs out in the open at my house which is a lot easier now since DD and family moved out.

I love meat and protein and it satisfies me so much more but I don't crave them which is a bummer.
