That was a great article and underscores why I'm where I am right now. Even though it is only a few pounds up, the lack of exercise combined with my carb rich diet has added weight to my midriff and other problem areas. The return of bread, rice, pasta and sugar on a daily basis confirm what that article says. Thanks for posting it.
Yep, l learned around 5 months out that I could eat the same number of calories, low carb and lose weight or the same number of calories moderate carb and not lose or gain. Carbs are absolutely the key for me. Good article that reconfirms my belief.

It is very interesting .
Yet.. im not sure its right . Yesterday , the two skinniest chix in my art class of 30 plus people were eating full -fat potato chips ( I was one of them) . The fattest chix are always on a perpetual diet ( not that it helps their situation from what I can see )
For me , the key is moving around .
I also believe in drinking enough water , reducing salt and processed foods and eating veggies n fruits .
If I eat enough fat and or salt or sugar I feel like garbage .

Interesting. Yesterday I said that starting Gary Taubes book was on my to do list. I got caught up in an Ann Patchett novel instead. Maybe today!
I think carbs are critical in what happens to my body. I try to stick to 40 -60 net carbs from veggies and fruit when maintaining and working out 2 hours daily. If not exercising it's 40 total carbs. If I want to drop a pound it's under 30 carbs, all from green veggies. Ack! That's where I need to be now since I'm still at 143 post plastics and can only walk 30 minutes a day.

That's a great article! Thanks for sharing!!!! It dosen't take many carbs for me to feel sluggish and puffy. Personally, I agree that Protein is the way to go on Maintenance.
