And lived to tell the tale! I just did 30 mins on the eliptical so not a huge effort. I felt great! Enjoyed being there and having a nice long shower after. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

You did great for just having surgery.  I was only able to walk 10 minutes at a time at a snails pace on my treadmill; that was all I could manage in the beginning.  I did it 3 times per day to meet my surgeon's 30 minute requirement.  It is amazing, though, how quickly the body gains strength & endurance.

I went to the gym too today for the first time in a long time.  That is my new goal - to go regularly. I've decided to devote more time to weight training.   I only did 12 minutes on the elliptical...see how great you did.  I then did strength training and reminded myself I have to start somewhere.  Congrats on your great attitude.

Thanks a lot! I am really in the honeymoon phase where motivation is concerned. But my butt muscles hurt now! I am sure when I wake up tomorrow I will feel it all over! LOL!!!!

I think starting out at 30 minutes on the eliptical is great!!  I had a hard time building time up on it.
Congratulations and keep up the great work!!

I gotta tell y ou - I was very athletic before my surgery- could do my elliptical without an issue for 30 minutes plus.  Then after you'd think I'd been asked to give up my first born - my endurance was awful and took quite awhile to get back up to speed.  (we're talking several months here)

Congrats on getting back up to speed and enjoying it!  To future exercise endeavors!

i never tried the eliptical until I was rehabing from my new knee and if I could do 6 min, I was doing great.  That thing kicks my butt.  Haven't been on it lately but I can imagine you will be sore tomorrow.  Now just to keep it up.  The key is finding exercise you like and sticking to it.   I love my muscle pump class and zumba.
