The first questions I have is what is the 5 day pouch test?  Next, I'm hearing alot of people say that carbs go down way too easy.  I am 6 mos out and I've lost 50 lbs.  Weight is very, very slow at this point, usually about 1 lb a week or less.  I have a very hard time with carbs.  Anything more than 1 bite of carbs, pototoe, wheat cracker even good carbs other than veggies and I'm sick (by sick I mean, rapid heart beat nauseaus and just don't feel well, it lasts for about 30 mins, no stomach pains just a felling of nausea)....I guess I should be glad that I can not tolerate carbs.  Has anyone else experienced this?
I feel like I'm stalling again.  Is it common to have a stall at 6 mos?  I stalled at 3 mos, but I upped my protien and it seemed to help.  Sometimes, I think I'm eating too much, I try to get in 3 protien drinks a day and with them included I'm getting between 1000-1200 cals a day. with at least 1000 grams of protien.    I work about 30 mins from my house so I eat out most days for lunch.  I usually eat good food, since I can't tolerate carbs.  I just have been able to eat salad without getting sick but I have to be careful and not eat too much.  I'm having a probelm getting too hungry at night when I get in from work, I usally only eat lunch and dinner....

upon rising protien coffee w/1 1/2 scoop unflavored unjuy   30 grams protien
B-Greek Yogurt 10 grams protien
L-Grilled chicken breast w/veggie or grilled or baked fish w/veggies
sometimes I will eat beef jerky or snack size almonds if I'm hungry
Protien Coffee-30 grams protien
D-Protien and veggie
I used to have a 3rd protien shake but here lately I've just had to force it down so, I quit doing a 3rd one because I feel like I am getting enough protien, but weight loss has really slowed down.....

Does anyone see anything wrong with this?  Am I eating too much at 6 mos out?

Thank you in advance for any comments!!!

Google the 5 day pouch test and you can come up with exactly how to do it.  It basically takes you back through all of the stages of eating and adding in food to your diet.  Folks say it is helpful if you have been eating too much and don't feel the restriction or have added in a lot of carbs and need to decarb.  That doesn't sound like you at this point.

I slowed way down around 5-6 months and upped my protein to about 140.  that kept me losing 1-2lbs a wee****il I reached goal.  When I had my body composition done a few months ago, it revealed that my base intake would be 1200.  Exercise added to that so if I was exercising, I could eat more but if not, that is what I needed to maintain.  Along with my farm work, I do 2 days of weight lifting and 2 days of Zumba ideally.

I think you could try upping your protein and adding exercise but know that at 6 months, you are just going to lose slower.  That is normal.

One pound a week is pretty good at 6 months out.

Watch the sugar & sugar alcohol in the carbs you are eating see how many they have.  Some people have a lower tolerance for them.  You just have to find your spot that you are safe with.  Sounds like you are having mini-dumps.  It takes more than a few bites for it to affect me - I can actually eat a good bit - which is not good!!

I know lots of people who eat out.  Just be very careful what you order.  There are lots of preservatives in most prepared foods and you really never know what you are actually getting.  You can look at most places websites, but it is prepared by individuals and could vary.  You might want to consider buying a lunch box/cooler and preparing something to take to work with you.  I usually take my lunch each day because eating out was a problem I had prior to WLS and I don't want to get back into that habit.  I consider my eating out a treat now.

You might try adding a snack in between lunch and dinner and one after dinner just to keep your body going.  I do better on 5-6 small meals instead of trying to do 2-3 larger ones.  It doesn't look like you are eating too much to me.

Good luck.

I would sat, drop calories to 800 at six months. I was a slow loser. At 1 year mar****pt calories under 1000, carbs under 40 to get the last 25 pounds off.

My maintenance range is 1000-1100 without exercise with carbs 40-50, most from veggies and a protein bar. When hiking 30-40 miles a week, I can eat 1200-1400 to maintain.

That's why I personally think your calories may be too high at only 6 months out.

Good luck!
