WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER!
Yesterday was a big day for me!! Not only was it my 4 yr. Surgiversary but I got the best compliment ever! As you know my DGS is four and his family has lived with us for over 3.5 years. I have worn the same "at home" clothes practically every day (wash and wear) since they moved in because of cleaning, cooking, baby puke, and their stinky dog climbing on me. It's a pair of really big sweat pants and a baggy shirt (super comfy). Well, last night we were babysitting and my DGS was sitting on the kitchen floor and he looked up at me and said "you are getting skinny" ! It took me by surprise and I scooped him up and gave him a big hug and kiss. He didn't even realize what he said to make grandma get tears in her eyes.

Hi Roz,
That is so sweet!! How is the empty nest going?? I bet it is going to take some time to get used to it. Atleast they are close and you can still babysit. DGD#1 asked her mom last night if I was coming back to her house so we could have another girls spend the night party like we did Sunday night.

Actually I am loving the empty house! I cried the first day because I was shocked they moved out completely. It was suppose to be a gradual thing. I think DH is doing ok too. We are going to have the boys 2 nights a week when SIL has to work late. I was actually excited to go home last night because I knew there wouldn't be dishes in the sink or toys and clothes all over the place. DH had to work over and I got to relax a little before fixing dinner.
Have you ever tried to make salad dressing using FAGE? I liked to figure out how to make something like French dressing. I am terrified of dressings. I would like to get more vegetables in but I need to find a dressing that I feel comfortable eating.
Sounds Good Linda!

Here is a link I found with some recipes for a low carb version:

Most of them sound kind of complicated for me.
This one seems a little simplier:

I know I don't eat as many veggies as I need to, but usually if I do a dense protein there is still no room...that's a good thing I guess.

I will be hunting the rest of the week , so I will miss M&M for about 5 days. I will also miss Sunday weigh in , but i'll weigh in on Tuesday! I have packed and planned out all my meals while i'm am there. Lots of string cheese, deli ham ,protein powder, and an antelope burger for supper every night. I find if I keep it simple and the same I can do better. We'll see if I can stick to plan while im out hunting! I packed my boyfriends meals for 10 days and his is nothing but soups , pasta's, cookies, chips, shepards pie ect... he is also 6'4 175 pounds! He is fantastic support for me and he puts things up high or hidden so I can't get into them. Any way happy week to all, and may you have a great weekend!
oh i'll take all the prayers and swinging critters , in hopes to getting our 3 Elk tags filled!
Good Menu! It was nice when SIL lived with us because he is over 6' and he could reach things for me. Now I'm back to climbing on a chair...LOL
