I just READ  the applications for  the masters degree programs i DREAM about .. OY .Im so SCARED   to compete  with talented AND connected  ( largely male and ridiculously competitive  ) 18 year olds ... .

I have a LOT to say  and enough talent and suffering under my belt to say it WITH  but being discounted AUTOMATICALLY  by some ( most ?)  due to sexism , ageism, is so FRIGHTENING  and SOBERING ....

Don't underestimate yourself - and don't count yourself out of the game until you TRY!

It's almost as daunting as applying for insurance to cover WLS for some people!  Very emotional process.

Your life experiences will make it easier for you to participate in this program, unlike the 18 year olds... where do they draw their inspiration from?

Go for it and do it Girrll!!

(((((Thank you ))))) SO  MUCH for Ur support wonderful friends !!

I DO  feel i have something to say ..... about the suffering , the waiting , the seeming hopelessness we ALL experience as we inevitably age ...

a 19 year old may have access to the same or better TOOLS  but I have something else maybe more valuable.  I PRAY the schools agree ....

here are a few examples of my latest work...

I went back to school in my late 30's. It took me 11 years, but this past June, I earned my Master's. It was not an easy road, but so worth it. Taking that walk was amazing. I say go for it.  The worst thing that can happen is you get turned down, but you will never know unless you try. and if these two schools don't see your talent, find another. If you want to see photos of my walk, they are on my profile.
