Tricky little tummy......
So there on the top shelf on the fridge, sat an ice cold 12oz can of Dr. Pepper..... I have thought about it all day long... I have not drank a soda in almost 12 months... Except for a sip here and there.... So about an hour ago my tummy says... Go ahead... Have it ... It will be ok.. I promise it won't hurt..... Well yea me being the blonde that I am I believed it.... Epic fail.. After 3 sips... Not sure why it took me 3 sips to remember why I do not drink sodas... I now feel like I have a baby alien living inside... The air is horrible.... Just thankful it didn't make me sick.... Just had to share...
Oh dear. I haven't tried soda yet, don't think I ever will again. They don't call my name, thank goodness, enough other stuff does. Glad you let others know what CAN happen though. Hope you are better soon.

I don't normally even think about drinking soda.. The carbonation gets me every time like a ton of brinks but surprisingly the sugar doesn't bother me... It does in just about everything else except when I add it to tea and coffee.....I hope years down the road that will be the one thing that doesn't ever change......
Hope you feel better!!
I used to drink coke, then changed to diet coke years ago during a Weigh****chers period. I stuck with the diet coke, but was drinking them all day long back to back. When I made the decision to have WLS, I decided that and eating out were the two things I was going to back away from. I knew the diet coke had to go probably forever, because I was so hooked on it. I haven't had one since about a month before my surgery and don't miss them at all. Now if I could do the same with sugar!! We all have our vices, and just have to learn from our mistakes.
