I can't believe it finally i'm approved and I have a surgery date Dec 6th for DS surgery. I made my flight plans a bit early incase of snow storms I have to be there on the 3rd so I will fly out from Maine on the 1st that way i will have an extra day for who knows what with the airlines. Thanks for everyone's help in helping me make this happen.

Now you can start decarbing and de caffieneing. Stop drinking with meals, no sodas. All that will make recovery a lot easier.

Thanks all. Nervous and excited both am sure time will go by pretty fast. The caffine will be the hard one to stop for me I only drink one cup of coffee a day normally but i really enjoy it. I like to drink with my meals too so that one wont be real easy. I quit diet soda months ago was pretty easy actually.

DS, right? Decaf coffee whenever your taste buds return to normal. With the DS, after a few months you'll be able to drink with your meals. There's no chance of washing nutrients through your pouch, which you won't have.

When I had to get off of caffeine, I added a little decaf to the beans (I have a coffee pot that grinds the beans) every week. I took it slow so that I didn't have withdrawal issues. it was also better for my coworkers. I have to be up at 5am and at work by 7am, I'm not a morning person so this was a challenge. I used to tell people while pointing at myself, instant human, just add coffee.
