Happy Over the Hump Day!
One of the young girls at my work has lost 100 pounds the last couple years by cutting calories and exercising. She has about 50 pounds to go but she has such a positive attitude about it I can see her being successful. Yesterday she asked me what kind of Protein I use because she has been wanting some for after her workouts. I brought her in some Syntrax Fuzzy Navel and a cup that I wasn't using and I was surprised she really liked it. She can be very verbal about things so I was dreading what she might say.

As for the tropical protein smoothie... right now I'm using an unflavored protein shake (Bariatric Advantage). I'm just trying to use up the rest of my supply of it. I'm looking at most likely changing to a vanilla or banana flavored shake in the future. Also, I normally use vanilla-flavored Silk soy milk instead of water (gives me some additional protein). Unfortunately, because my son is lactose intolerant, I'm out of soy mil****il I can get to the store tomorrow. I put the 2 scoops of protein and between 8-12 oz. of soy milk in the blender with some ice. Then I add about 1/2 of a small banana and about 1/4-cup of pineapple chunks (usually fresh, cut-up pineapple from the produce section). I blend it all together and pour 8 oz. into my glass. The leftover goes into the fridge for a later time.
I did forget to add to my menu list an additional Click Espresso drink (8 oz. of course) that I had about 2 hours after my lunch. So there's an extra 7.5 g of protein I can add to the day!

If you like the banana and pineapple flavoring, you may want to try a sample of Caribbean cooler. It has both and 0 carbs. Your fruit has a ton of sugar so you may want to keep an eye on that as you start eating more.
sounds like when you add your shakes and the other proteins, you are doing pretty good. Hurray hurray.

One of the things that I noticed early on with regards to sugars is that if I omit them from my diet (i.e. through fruits) I have problems with hypoglycemia. If I add them, I'm fine - my blood glucose readings are fine, but still on the low end for having had sugars. I feel like it's a bit of a Catch 22. But, I will keep a close watch on my carb intake as I eat more.
I only count the Protein that I get from Whey Protein and any protein that I get from food is just a bonus. I use 1 1/2 scoops for breakfast and then 3 scoops during the day and my goal of 100+ is met. It also counts toward my liquids. I mix all of my Protein in water to keep the calories and carbs down. Are your Smoothies pre made?
Approximately how many calories are you getting in daily?
