So my hubby decided to take an updated picture of me while I was sitting at my laptop.  I know I've lost quite a bit of weight in a short amount of time (because the scale says so), but to see how my face has changed was a little surprising to me.

Here I am a little more than a year before surgery:

Now here I am almost 7 months after my RNY (down more than 80 lbs):

Looking great.

Isn't it amazing how different we look in photos?

Thanks, Liz!  Definitely amazing how different we look in photos... and I usually don't like taking pictures!

One thing we did was take a monthly photo (esp using the same backdrop****il we reached goal...now it's about every three to six months.

However, right now I dispise having photos taken...part of it is how gaunt I think I look...I told dh yesterday that while I never was one to use ANY makeup, I may be rethinking that around my eyes...they look like death warmed over. And my mouth isn't "mine" yet.

Thanks so much, Ladies!

I honestly was beginning to question my decision to have WLS done because of all that I have been through.  But now I don't.  I know things happen for a reason(s).  Now that I'm so close to my goal and not having to take any meds anymore, I know I made the right decision.  Hubby has commented that he sees my self-confidence coming back with a vengeance.  My kids already comment about how much energy I have these days.  It feels so great!

Well, you all have a great Monday!  I've got to get on the treadmill for my walk.
