Good Morning. Swing me some lizards this morning

Going to the pain center this morning with my chiropractor's notes, MRI and MRI report. The plan is to shoot my shoulder/upper arm with cortisone....wish they would knock me out first. Who knows this may turn into a meet-and-greet-and-make-another-appointment, but the plan is, cortisone shots.

Ok, so anybody want to do a tongue-in-cheek what-are-you-thankful-for post this morning?

I'm thankful for the mute button on the TV's remote control.  We were watching MASH or Big Bang Theory last night and there were 4 back to back political ads. Do they not realize that hitting us with these loathsome lies (both parties, thankyouverymuch) drives voters away? Good grief. Where do I sign up to vote for less media bombardment, less extremism and term limits?

OUCH! I hope things go smoothly for you today and your shots are effective!!

Oh, the political ads drive me bonkers! I will watch the debates though. I remember when politicians won elections based on what they stood for not on trash talk about the other person. I wish there was a plan C but I guess we will have to pick A or B.

 Good Morning,
Best of lucky Gina, I've had a couple of shots in my shoulder and didn't mind them at all but all depends on who is doing them as you know!

I will be glad when the election is over with! It just goes on and on way to long for my taste. Have a wonderful day all

I hope they do your shot today and get it over with.  I remember cortisone working great on my hip and foot years ago but it did nothing for my knee before replacement.  It was bone on bone and nothing much helped.  I hope yours gives you great relief and is a simple non-painful procedure.

Those of us in swing states get all the fun  of the ads.  And it is going to get worse.  One of the benefits of big money in politics.  We watch dish channels that get many fewer if any at all.  It especially makes me mad that I have to watch them after I vote (early voting) when it wouldn't do any good anyway.

Hope you get relief, Gina.

As to political ads...we dvr most of the stuff we want to watch so we just fast forward thru the ads. When it is on, we just ignore it...try to stay away. But then TN isn't a swing state so our list of ads is more limited.

Why waste money in a state not up for grabs?

Price, not every state has early election...and many people can't make up their mind til the last minute about whether or no to vote at all.

Gina - I  may need to find out who your Dr is.  The one I went to wouldn't order an MRI for me before we went through a ton of Physical Thereapy and cortisone shots.  I don't want to "treat it to treat it" - I want to know what the underlying cause is and FIX it!  I told her no.  My chiropractor is still treating it, but I still have good/bad days.  Since being in MI (and moving, for the most part is over) it's been a bit better.

Only another 6 weeks of the bombardment!  I haven't had my TV on hardly at all this past week.  Maybe 2 hours Wed and Thurs nights.  I've just been too busy... guess that's a good thing then.

Swinging "Little Willie" for you Gina!!  Hope you can get some relief.  I've had several cortisone shots and not much fun...

I'm thankful for my family and for having a job that if I need to leave for the day with very short notice it is not a problem.  I love my DVR where I can just zip right through the commercials.

 Hi Gina,

I had cortisone in my ankle several times and also in my hands.  Thy are an ouch but just for a moment.

I do want to caution you that cortisone shots made me very hungry each time. Others report the same response.  Please be careful.

Im grateful that my plane ticket to Mexico cost me $86 and 35,000 frequent flyer miles!

Most grateful that I have a job interview when I return.  Yay!

I just had trigger point injections last week for my neck and headaches.  I had a few weeks where things were looking better and I thought I was improving and then the pain came back so I went forward with the injections.  I was told they were Botox shots but the doctor said something about anesthetic shots and also mentions steroids so I'm not sure what I had all I know is they hurt like hell.  There were about 12 of them and it felt like they were using a huge needle.  I never had any relief and in fact it hurts much worse now.  I am going to contact the doctor and ask about a nerve block or epidural.
I ignore the political stuff to tell the truth.  Thank God for Netflix and DVR.
