Good Morning. What does your gut tell you?

Do any of you feel that you have intuition or ESP-like capabilities? Sometimes? Always? Occasionally? Never? I was just thinking back to a conversation I had with my friend from college on this day in '01.  It sends chills up my spine when I recall telling her that we could expect more of the same and worse from our enemies and you all know what happened the next day. She and I were on email almost immediately the next day and she nursed me through the aftermath just by being there for me and listening for the next 2 years. Why this year seems ominous, I don't know.

Wishing you all a wonderful and normal week.

I got out of the Navy in 2000 with 12.5 yrs.  I figured I would go in the Reserves to finish out my time.  The day I was scheduled to see the recruiter was the day the USS Cole got hit.  I told everyone at work that day (all civilians) that today marked the start of a very bad time in our history.  That someday our great grand kids would be learning about this event as the start of World War 3.  They thought I was crazy.  I decided not to go in the reserves.

Let's hope you are wrong this year.  It was so horrible.

I'm getting back into the swing of working.  Lots to do and a meeting, then TRX this evening.  There is a chill in the air and I am happy to be out of the heat for a while.

ESP? Yes, sometimes. I remember an Oprah show about women who had been attacked and they all said 'I had bad feeling' etc. Basically they should've listened to their intuition.

The show was a few years ago and I don't remember more details, I definitely remember agreeing.

I've always told my friends to listen to their gut feelings...you can never go wrong.

Mostly in regards to their kids but it can apply to outside events as well.

I also tell them to never part from someone you love without saying "I love you" cause it may be the last time you see them.

I don't know if it is because we are getting older, but it seems like there is so much more tragedy around us with people that we know.  Over the last holiday weekend a man I went to school with had a wreck and his grown son and wife were killed.  He is doing ok physically, but he is going to have a long recovery road ahead of him mentally.  He does have a married daughter with a baby.

Lots of friends that have cancer and have had strokes.  It has been a really hard year around here.

At our school reunion we were talking about where we were when we heard that President Kennedy had been shot and we could all remember that we were in the 4th grade and what all happened.

I can remember where I was and how desperate I was to just hear my kids voices on 9/11/01.  We were all so stunned at work and it was hard to believe what was happening.  Hang tough tomorrow Gina, I'm sure the day brings back horrible memories for you.

The world is sure a different place than it was 25 or 30 years ago....  I can't imagine what it will be like when my grandchildren are grown.

Yes - my mother has told me since I was a kid that I have a "gift".  It's just intuition... I do tend to listen to it - when I don't - I hope I'm wrong!

I remember where I was at for 9/11/01.  I wasn't here and can just imagine how horrifying it was for those who were here, and who actually knew/lost someone who was affected by it.

Joe's office was in the part of the Pentagon that got hit.  He was running late for work (which I've discovered is fairly common) and was on his drive in when he heard it on the radio.  Turned around and went back home.  He never really has talked about it much - but I'm sure tomorrow will be a tough day for him too.

It seems like it was just last year or so - how time flies.  Yes, something else is brewing - I know the various agencies do what they can to thwart what they can find - but they're only human.

I sincerely hope nothing is brewing. I totally remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. You may think a Brit I wouldn't be so bothered, but I was glued to CNN that day (and for several after). It was chilling to see those horrific images.

I think that's awesome that you were "bothered"!   I'm the same way when I hear of tragedy in other towns or countries.
