I've almost been there. Now it's always small plates with small bowls before I even begin to eat. This keeps me from taking that 'one more bite' that will make me pay!

Hope you are feeling better.  I still use the small plates.  It makes me think I am eating a plate full, but I'm really not!!

One time I finally drank some water with the foamies and it made me throw it all back up - which is very rare for me since surgery.

Oh yes... I remember those days.  In fact, I had one of those days a few months ago.  Just shows our tool keeps working for us!

I haven't thrown up at all since surgery, and what you described is when I wished I could...  I would do a lot of spitting and that seemed to help.

Often have a tender or grouchy pouch the next day after that - baby it and eat soft foods until it feels better.

Ewwwwww!!! I hate that, too! I try to walk and it helps (while spitting in the toilet each lap)!!!! I'm not kidding. Feel better.

Can you burp a few bites back up? That's what I do. Or at least burp up the foam.

Thanks for all the replys..... I spent sometime praying to the porcelain goddess of all things good... Lol.... That's the first time in a long time that I have done that.... That's also the first time I experienced the foamies.... I guess I have arrived.... I have to say I'm almost a year out... And even though I don't know what 4 to 5 years out will bring I'm not sure how I will handle this then... I still have absolutely no regrets.... These little hiccups are so worth it!!
