Good Morning. Mashed cauliflower...

...is so good. Ya know, if restaurants were really serious about getting the feds off their backs about Americans' diets and being blamed for the rising obesity rates, they'd be offering alternatives to potatoes and bread. You'd think they'd get a clue when a table of 4 all order mashed cauliflower as a side rather than garlic mashed potatoes and send the basket of bread bac****ouched. Granted we were all DSrs but the restaurant didn't know that. Anyway, that is my beef this morning...show me the mashed cauliflower, people!

Some of the resturants around here do have it, not all but a few.

Doing the last minute packing and heading out this morning.  See you in a few days.  I'll be back on Sunday.

Unfortunatly, carbs are cheap to serve.

But I love anything you can do to cauliflower=)

I've been impressed with Ruby Tuesday's healthier choices on their new menu, and mashed cauliflower is one of them - now, it all depends on how they make it - full of butter.. well... and on RT menu, they have the calories/carb/fat breakdown.

I bought a head of cauliflower to make my own, and didn't get around to it - and it turned black in places...

I now love cauliflower.  I have eaten Ruby Tuesday's and it is good, but I would rather make my own so I can control what goes into it.

I loved mac & cheese so I make my mac & cheese but use cauliflower instead of the macaroni noodles - even my DGD's like it.

I don't know why more restaurants don't offer this and another thing would be to offer half servings at half the price most of the time no one can eat all they send out anyway.

I hate cauliflower~~!!!
So no mock potatoes for me unfortunately.
Even tried the cauliflower pizza crust and it went in the trash (I miss pizza but havent tried the real thing yet). Pizza chips just don't do it for me either.
There must be another lightweight that doesnt like cauliflower out there.....

LOL

I am a mashed cauliflower lover from way back. Haven't had it in a long while. Hmmm That may change soon.
