I stole this from Price: For newbees, it is so important to learn the lessons, not just lose the weight. You could probably eat almost anything and lose weight in the beginning. but you need to learn the lessons to, gain the knowledge so when you get past the losing stage, you have your knowledge to fall back on. This isn't for 18 months of honeymoon, it is for the rest of your life.
