Question

 Will someone please explain what the swing the critters is all about?

Ah, yes....swinging lizards.  A long, long time ago when the DS board was very active and DSrs were often waging war amongst themselves, they came to a truce between born again Christians and non-religious folks. The truce involved saying they would swing chickens rather than praying for, or requesting pile-on prayers, for this that and the other thing. Well, when I would wish people good luck over here on the LW board I'd say I was swinging chickens. One of the funniest LWs I've ever met thought it was funny but said she was all out of chicken but would swing the lizards crawling up her patio wall. lol  It stuck and LWs started swinging lizards for good luck and sending well wishes for folks having surgery. Swinging lizards has evolved into swinging critters of all kinds for good luck wishes and prayers without getting preachy.  Oh! One of the funniest adaptations of swinging lizards was a LW who is an OBGYN-- she said she would swing beavers. lol
