National Guard is in place to help with any problems resulting from the storm ready to hit the Gulf states. FEMA, you can go back to your federal desk jobs. Don't call us, we'll call you.

This storm is playing with my eery woo-woo factor. I was chased out of NOLA in 2005. We left at 3AM the day Katrina hit NOLA. A couple of my retired Guard friends lost everything in their homes that were flooded by the levee collapses and then hit again by hurricane Rita. What awful pictures they shared with us. Y'all stay safe down there and if you're not down there and have family, I'm sending good vibes and swinging lizards this is a quick, weak storm and soon forgotten.

Since it has moved west, we aren't expected to get anything or just some rain, which is normal for Labor Day weekend. I remember the awful pictures coming out of New Orleans last time and pray they are spared that pain this time.

I sure hope those new levy's hold up there since they are not having the mandatory evacuation. I think I would be leaving anyway. I pray they don't get hit like before. It was horrible.

We are going to miss most of it. Only some rain from the far outer bands. Most of the rain is going to be in the counties below us. If it had come in at Panama City Beach or that area we would have gotten a lot more.
