I might have a diagnosis

I saw the neurologist. She is leaning towards cauda equina due to arachnooiditis. Here is a link that explains it.http://www.caudaequina.org/definition.html
More tests, more dr visits, IV steroids and physical therapy. Oh yeah and pain killers for some new and troubling severe pain! My choices are tramadol and percocet.  Can you say addictive?  Life kind of sucks right now.
Plus I had another sleep study and now I have central sleep apnea.  Weight loss doesn't help that one.  I need CPAP with oxygen!  Oh well, I look nice.  :-)

Hi Tonya, I'm glad you came back and updated us.  Hopefully catching it early will enable it to be treated successfully.

BTW would having your uvula removed help your apnea?   I had mine removed and it made a big improvement.

I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this.  Swinging a cuddly toy for you, ((hugs)).

We are going to try CPAP with oxygen for 1 year then try surgery if it isnt cured.  Apparently my central sleep apnea might have to do with living at 4500 - 5000 ft above sea level.  Who knew?

Ooh, I had no idea that living high up would cause an issue.  I didn't know that there were different types of apnea (central and otherwise).
