I don't usually post much but just felt the need to share my victories! I just got back from a week in Texas with my family. Only my sister knew about my WLS so it was an expected surprise for her, but still she was practically speechless. When my brothers saw me on Saturday it was overwhelming for all of us! They were all so proud of me!

The week overflowed with NSV’s! When was the last time I flew and wasn’t totally exhausted physically and emotionally? OMG – I sat in a seat and wasn’t spilling over into someone else’s lap. I could reach down and get my purse off of the floor without maneuvering with my feet.

Shopping in my sister’s closet! During the summer break, she did an ‘organize/sort/purge’ of her overly stocked closet. Lucky me - she wears size S-M / 6-8-10. We stayed up most of the night with me trying on all of the clothes she had set aside and then some she hadn’t. We had a blast!

REALLY? Shopping in the same department! Since she gave me her clothes it meant she had some serious shopping to do. For the first time in 25 years, we were looking at the same clothes on the same racks. We actually tried on some of the same outfits. OMG – I had forgotten how much fun that was!

Getting up at 6 AM to go for a 2 mile walk before it got too hot! – Not a single person in my family would have ever believed that I would be the one suggesting it or be the one waiting on them two mornings in a row.

What an awesome week. My sleeve and these new victories and emotions are just ‘rockin’ my world!

sounds like a blast. I was visiting my DD and got a little of the same. last fall she shopped in my closet cause I had way over bought tops and this visit we shopped together at a thrift store, in the same size stuff. It was fun.

You have done great and now it is just keep on keeping on. Hurray.
