OT: final update

I won't keep hogging the board but I thought I would post a quick update.  I am home.  I can walk without a walker.  We rented a wheelchair because I get tired so darn fast and I walk slower than an old lady.  BUT, I haven't used it yet.  Still doing my PT exercises because they help.  I love physical therapists;  they are so under appreciated.  I cannot pee like a big girl yet, but maybe someday.  If anybody out there self caths drop me a PM.  I would love to get some tips.  Haha no pun intended.  The final test for MS came back negative.  I have an appt with a neurologist and my internist next week.  Still no idea of what happened.   Thank you again for your support, thoughts, prayers and swinging of creatures.  Logging on to my email and seeing your comments really made me feel cared for!

On a positive note, I went ring shopping yesterday with DH.  I got a macdaddy rock!  When we get it back from having the stone set I will post a pic.  We are renewing our vows in Vegas in November.  I get to shop for a "wedding" dress.  Lol, last time we got married I wore shorts.  Any suggestions as for what style suits a 46 yo woman with ridiculously saggy boobies?

Wow! Big changes after all you've been through. Hoping nothing but the best for you. :)

Just a curiosity question...did they check all your B vitamin levels in the hospital?

Still waiting on Thiamine.  They had to send it out.  B12, protein, albumin all good.  My surgeon consulted with my neurologist.

Good. Sometimes they overlook vitamin deficiencies.

So glad you're home and feeling a bit better.  Hopefully they will be able to figure out what's wrong soon.

As Gina said, checking your B vit's is a good idea.

My surgeon's office never said anything about supplementing Thiamine other than what was in my multi.  I developed a deficiency which caused Foot Drop.  After an emergency MRI and Neurologist/Neurosurgeon appointment, I with the help of OH archives figured out that it was most likely a B1 (Thiamine) deficiency.

After 3 weeks of massive doses of B100 complex my foot drop and neuropathy resolved itself.  :0)

Suit?  Hun - you need to rock a really cute dress!   Go visit Victorias Secret - they'll fit you in a really cute bra.  If you have your dress with you, that will make it even better.

So glad to hear you're doing better - but wish they'd figure it out.

Ok - wha'ts a macdaddy rock - is that a really really really BIG rock?

Definitely a cute dress.  I have a VS "every which way" bra for dress shopping.   Yes a macdaddy rock is pretty big!   At least for me and my usually cheap skate husband.  (1.2 ct center stone in .75 tw band- so almost 2 carats!). I have little hands and it looks huge to me!  I'm so excited.

Glad you are home and doing better...and good that the MS was just a scare. Hope they find out what is causing your issue.
